Individuals' Therapy

___

Individual therapy is probably what most of us imagine when thinking about therapy. It’s true that it involves a couch and a mug of hot tea, but unlike in pop-culture depictions where a client lies reclined on a couch as the psychologist scribbles notes, it is about creating a deep dialogue between an individual and their therapist to gain a deeper insight into the thoughts and feelings of the individual.

It is the form of therapy most commonly associated with psychology, set in a comfortable, caring, and confidential environment. During a session, the patient will have the opportunity to explore their personal beliefs, unconscious behaviours, and most intimate feelings and talk about them with Tamar, who is trained to listen and ask guiding and insightful questions that lead to new discoveries. The client will be guided as they challenge troubling memories, identify problematic aspects of their lives, set growth goals, and develop a better understanding of themselves and others.

If you have not been quite feeling like yourself, it may be time to seek help. Mental health issues often go undiagnosed, leaving those afflicted suffering in silence. Throughout her practice years, Tamar’s individual therapy sessions have helped patients overcome complex feelings of guilt, anxiety, depression, and self-doubt that were hindering them from leading fulfilling lives.

People reach out to Tamar for a number of reasons, such as dramatic life changes, confronting childhood trauma, dealing with depressive and anxious feelings, or simply seeking personal growth. She is here to help you find your balance by applying compassion and understanding with her multi-disciplinary list of academic and professional experiences.
